90’s Party

When I was in college, I was often invited to 80’s parties.  I never really understood 80’s parties for people my age.  I was 7 at the end of the 80’s.  I didn’t yet care much about fashion, music or pop culture.  So I’ve convinced my friends that we should throw a 90’s party in the next year.  If you ask me, which you didn’t, the 90’s were way cooler.  Fashion was more flattering, music was awesome and had much more variety.  The 90’s took me from age 8-18.  Basically, almost of all my childhood years that I can vividly remember.  90’s took us from Wilson Phillips’ “Hold On” to Montell Jordan’s “This is How We Do It” to Red Hot Chili Peppers “Scar Tissue.”  It gave us movies like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Clueless, American Beauty, Forest Gump and Pulp Fiction.  The 90’s bring to mind a time when homes increased in value.  The 90’s were awesome.

So please, give me your feedback.  What movies, music or style icons come to mind for you?  What music do you think we would HAVE to play at a 90’s party?

(here are a couple shots of movies that scream “90’s!” to me)
